My professional position on AI in software engineering

Problem

Write a personal professional position statement (about one page) that you could show to a future employer:

  1. My principles for using AI in engineering work (5–7 principles, each one sentence, each linked to a course chapter).
  2. Skills plan: three skills from this chapter's list that you will deliberately develop in the next year, with a concrete practice for each (a project, a course, a habit) and how you will know you improved.
  3. A red line: one thing you would refuse to build or do, even if asked, and why (use the ACM/IEEE Code).
  4. A question for the future: one open question about AI and software engineering that you want to follow, and why it matters to you.

Work it out on paper, in a document or here, then compare with the model answer. Your answer stays in your browser — it is never sent to or stored on the server.
